Monthly Bulletin from FAO ECTAD China (March)

March issue includes updates on the upcoming scientific workshop on LinkTADs to be held in Shangai on April 14th-16th, 2014.

In addition, the Bulletin informs about:

  • Joint Training to further strengthen H7N9 prevention and control held by MoA and FAO on March 18-20th, 2014. The training targeted leaders of provinces with the aim to teach them how to implement planned measure to control H7N9 influenza in China. The training held on March 21st dealt with advanced value chain analysis.
  • Field Sampling for Emerging Pandemic Threats Plus (EPT+) project in Guangdong Province carried out by the staff from Guangdong CDC, Harbin and FAO ECTAD on March 2nd-6th, 2014.
  • Pre-survey for a meat chicken market chain study in Anhui Province jointly conducted by CAHEC and FAO ECTAD on March 23rd-24th. The survey was held in order to obtain the information from the country local veterinary service about local broiler industry, trade and transportation.
