The RISKSUR symposium and SVEPM conference
The symposium within the RISKSUR (Risk-Based Animal Health Surveillance Systems) project is to take place on 24 March, 2015 at Congress Centre Het Pand in Ghent, Belgium.
The theme of the symposium is: Animal Health Surveillance 2.0 (presenting a new view on the next generation of methodologies for the design and evaluation of cost-effective surveillance).
The symposium aims to present novel ideas and tools for the design and evaluation of cost-effective surveillance. It is expected to reach an agreement on the main determinants of how these could be successfully taken forward to influence policy.
It is important to underline that the symposium is scheduled to coincide with the Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (SVEPM) conference. It is a global epidemiology conference to be held on 25-27 March, 2015.
Any interested parties might also like to submit an abstract or a poster for SVEPM, to get the maximum benefit from the trip to the RISKSUR symposium and SVEPM conference. The deadline for abstract submission for SVEPM is 31 August 2014.
There will also be a poster session, further details of which will be released in December 2014. Note that you should request a poster space when registering for the conference.
